Yes we have a self check in process that you receive after booking.

Can I park near the space I reserve?

At Tiny Haven Harpers Ferry you can park within 10-20ft of the space you reserve.

wildlife, nature, and bugs

What is the wildlife like?

Both of our Tiny Haven locations are in relatively rural areas accessible to nature. This means there will be wildlife and acts of nature that we cannot control. We have seen bears, snakes, deer, raccoons, groundhogs on both of our properties. Please do not leave trash outside and please do not leave food inside the dome or tents (except in the designated sealed cooler) to prevent unwanted animal guests.

Will there be bugs?

While the majority of the time our spaces have very minimal insect friends, sometimes they do randomly show up. The most common are harmless - shield/stink bugs, ants, and lady bugs. We do use ant traps and other natural bug repellants but there is not much we can do if they want to get inside except catch them (particularly the shield/stink bugs, they are a pest in our area). Sometimes there are no bugs, sometimes just a few bugs, and sometimes there can be quite a lot of bugs, especially during the spring and fall season, when the weather is transitioning. We do what we can to prevent bug parties, but we cannot predict or control if that happens during your stay. Our spaces are camping or glamping spaces, some are vintage, not perfectly sealed, or the bugs just find a way in regardless, so please be aware of this prior to booking. We do not give refunds if you find bugs.

Acts of Nature

When you are staying in any of our spaces, there is always a risk of inclement weather or acts of nature (such as trees falling, etc). We do our very best to keep our spaces safe, but know that you are taking a risk when staying in these alternative spaces, particularly the glamping tents.

cleaning protocols

We follow the CDC guidelines for disinfecting and cleaning each of our spaces. We have a cleaning crew that thoroughly cleans each space between guests, including disinfecting the counters, surfaces, knobs, handles, etc; changing and washing the linens; and cleaning the outhouse and composting toilets. We also provide cleaning spray for guest use. The health of our guests and ourselves is very important to us. If one of our team feels ill, we ask them to stay home. If you are feeling ill, please stay home.

Parking

What is the parking situation at Tiny Haven Harpers Ferry?

At Tiny Haven Harpers Ferry, you can park directly next to each space. For each of the tiny houses and airstream, there is a gravel parking area. For Luna the Stargazing Dome or the Glamping Tents you will park in the grass near the space. Please drive slowly while on the property.

guests + pets

Can my kids or friends pitch a tent and stay?

No, we do not allow this. Each space has a maximum number of guests and we do not allow pitching an additional tent.

How many guests can stay in each space?

Two guests max in each space, except Ginger the Tiny House (up to 3 guests) and Daisy the Airstream (up to 4 guests), and Luna the Glamping Dome (up to 4 guests). Except for that, we do not allow additional guests, even if they are not staying the night - it creates too much wear and tear on our spaces and we want to create a quiet and peaceful escape for all guests.

Can I bring my dog(s)?

Egret the Tiny House, Gypsy the Airstream, and Daisy the Airstream are dog friendly with a $75 pet fee. We need to know in advance that you are bringing a dog. Up to two well-behaved dogs per stay. Dogs must be kept on a leash when outside. Please do not leave your dog in the space unattended. No cats or other animals.

No pets are allowed in Ginger the Tiny House, Sage the Glamping Tent, Fern the Glamping Tent, or Luna the Stargazer Dome.

Cell signal and wifi

Is there WiFi?

Tiny Haven is a great getaway spot where you can unplug. There is WiFi at Egret the Tiny House and Ginger the Tiny House. The other sites do not have WiFi.

What is the cell signal like?

Tiny Haven Harpers Ferry: The cell signal is OK to poor. Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile have 1-2 bars of service typically. You should still make and receive phone calls and texts but data runs slow. Sending pictures is also hit or miss. We cannot guarantee that hotspots will work - some do, some do not.

special events + photography

Can I elope here?

We do offer an elopement package! If you would like to have an elopement ceremony at Tiny Haven, we have a two night minimum stay, and a $350 elopement fee due two weeks before check in. This elopement package includes having up to 10 people total at the ceremony, including yourselves, the officiant, the photographer, and witnesses. Only the couple may stay onsite and the festivities need to conclude by 9:30pm. We ask that the space you are renting and outdoor area be left in the same condition as when you arrive, meaning that our cleaning team does not have to do additional cleaning beyond a normal stay for a couple.

Can I have a professional photographer take photos here?

Yes, with advance notice. If you would like to bring your own photographer, we require advance approval. We request to share your photos on our website and social media! We also have photographers available for hire.
